Marea is a seaside konoba on the Dalmatian coast with a loyal local following and a growing stream of summer visitors. They came to us with a dated one-page site — essentially a PDF menu and a phone number — that couldn't keep up with a full dining room in peak season. We rebuilt the brand and the website from scratch to match the quality of the food and the view.
The challenge
Nine in ten of Marea's visits happen on a phone, often from tourists standing on the riva deciding where to eat. The old site made them pinch-and-zoom a PDF and call a number nobody could answer mid-service. Reservations slipped through the cracks, the kitchen couldn't plan covers, and the brand looked nothing like the experience waiting on the terrace.
How we approached it
Discovery & brand
We spent a service on-site, then distilled Marea into a coastal identity — a hand-drawn wordmark, a sea-glass palette, and photo direction that puts the catch and the horizon first.
Mobile-first design
Every screen was designed for a phone in bright sun: high-contrast type, a thumb-friendly menu, and a reservation flow that takes three taps.
Build & integrate
We shipped a fast static site with a reservations widget synced to the host stand, plus structured data so Google surfaces the menu and hours directly.
Launch & measure
We went live before the summer season and tracked reservations, load time, and mobile engagement week over week.

The results
Launched ahead of peak season, the new site turned browsers on the promenade into booked tables — and gave the kitchen a dining room it could actually plan for.

Our tables fill themselves now. The site captures Marea perfectly — guests mention it before they even sit down.
